USE THE TOOL

Every Rotary journey starts with a conversation.

Whether someone is considering joining, just joined, or has been part of a club for years, a simple conversation can help them feel heard, connected, and engaged.

That’s how we’ll build stronger clubs and move toward our 2030 goal: reaching 1.25 million Rotarians and retaining at least 125,000 Rotaractors.

Health workers cross mountains, rivers, and difficult terrain to deliver polio vaccines.

Join the #TeamEndPolio Challenge on Strava and help reach 60 million minutes of movement before World Polio Day. Every minute you move is a minute in solidarity with the health workers who never stop.

JOIN THE CHALLENGE

We empower entrepreneurs in our community.

October concentrates on community growth. Club members work to strengthen local entrepreneurs and community leaders, particularly women, in our impoverished communities.

Consider the following actions to sustain economic development:

  • Identify groups or areas in your community that are economically disadvantaged.
  • Invite a speaker to better understand this issue.
  • Identify projects to address those needs

Looking for ideas for a FUNdraiser for PolioPlus?

Consider Pumpkins for Polio!

A Club sponsored pumpkin carving fellowship event, auctioning off or selling the finished masterpieces and donating the proceeds to the Miss Vicky 2027 Challenge for PolioPlus to increase your giving impact. Consider inviting or supporting an Interact or Rotaract Club to share the fun. Add a learning element to build understanding of why we care.

TREE PLANTING AT ROTARY PARK

What a glorious day October 4th was for the Rotary Club of St. Albert's annual tree planting at Rotary Park.

With a total of 19 volunteers, comprised of Rotarians and family members, the group planted 230 trees and bushes in record time.

Thank you to everyone who came out to help us continue this annual tradition. The St . Albert Club has been involved with this Naturalization Planting program since 2014 and it was great to see so many committed to see it continue.

Rotary Club of Edmonton South is hosting a special Oilers Breakfast at The Derrick Club on October 19th, featuring Oilers alumni and other special guests, and I’d love to have you join us.
