April 27, 2025

As part of  the club's new "alternative meeting" format, our April event was a tour, and brunch, at the Rig Hand Distillery.  What a success story. Our guide, General Manager/Distiller Mike Beile (and partners) started Rig Hand from scratch 10 years ago. They now produce award winning vodkas, whiskeys and brums (rum made from sugar beets). They also have canned cocktails and beer.  All barley, malt, and inputs into their production is sourced locally in Alberta. In addition to the distillery, they have a full restaurant, store and event space. After the tour, Club members and guests enjoyed a sampling of their products, then a hearty meal in the restaurant. An enjoyable event. Thanks to John Williams for organizing.
