This year's HSMN (High School Model United Nations) Secretary General, Jean-Michel Garzon Mahecha, with Golthi Vaidya (next year's SG) came to give members an update on this year's conference. This is an amazing event that brings over 50 high school students from all over Alberta to the University of Alberta for a weekend of work, comaraderie and fun, as they simulate the United Nations with political situations and emergencies. This is often a life changing weekend for these youth. Rotary Club of Edmonton Riverview have been proud sponsors of this event for 25 years.
