The Rotary Club of Edmonton Riverview has been the proud sponsor of the High School Model United Nations at the University of Alberta since 2012. Each year UofA students organize and deliver a two-day model UN experience for 400-500 high school students from Edmonton and region. Participants develop an understanding of global citizenship and the crucial role the United Nations plays in combatting real-world issues and threats.
