The Rotary District 5370 Awards ceremony was held October 4, 2024 at the St. Albert Inn. It is the District's opportunity to recognize the work by clubs in a variety of endeavors. The Rotary Club of Edmonton Riverview was given the "International Service Award, for our project Misión Claridad (or Mission Clarity) that provides free cataract surgery as well as eye glasses to those most in need in Southern Ecuador. This project was started in 2020 by Riverview Rotarian Paul Dusseault and his wife Cynthia. Through their efforts, and their partnership with the Club Rotario Tomebamba of Cuenca, Ecuador, over the past 3 years hundreds have received the life changing surgery to restore their eyesight. As well, over 500 people have received high quality prescription glasses. The Club is honored to receive this recognition.
