At this week's meeting, Paul and Cynthia Dusseault shared with members (and many guests from Ecuador), the work done early this year, delivering glasses to 241 individuals in and around Cuenca Ecuador. This was the final chapter of the October 2023 Mision Claridad (eye mission to Ecuador). The first step was performing eye examinations on 350 people from disadvantaged institutions and communities. Upon return to Canada, lead by Rotarians Norm Johnson and Savanna Smith, 241 pairs of high quality glasses were made, at no cost!! Thanks to the many generous organizations and individuals who made this possible. In late January, Rotarian Paul Dusseault travelled to Ecuador and over one week (assisted by local volunteers and Rotarians), hand delivered and fitted the 241 glasses. Many smiles on faces.
