The Hon. Douglas Roche O.C. spoke to our club on October 31 with the topic “Finding Peace After the Ukraine and Hamas Wars.” Despite current conflicts, he emphasized that the “arc of history” is trending toward greater justice because millions of people in civil society across the globe are working to build better societies locally and globally. Peace means human beings developing their full capacity to live as “one earth, one family, one future." He lauded Rotary’s contributions around the world.
