Wow, what an interesting topic.  Mykhailo Niemtsev (from North Road Investment Council) spoke about the very important topic of digital security. But what does that mean for the average person?

There is a wide spectrum of  issues that fall under "Digital Security", from password management, antivirus, anti-phishing, identity theft  and firewalls. So much that could be done, but where to start?  Well, the first thing is password management. Weak passwords and security of passwords is everyone's first line of defense.

Mykhailo recommends that you should use a password manager.   He still often sees people with their passwords written in a little book, or hidden in a file on their computer. Often passwords are weak, using names of children, birthdates, etc - hackers can easily figure out this type of password.  There are great, secure, password managers that allow to store all your passwords in one place. These are services that can be used across devices (you phone, tablet and laptop).

Here is the spectrum of Risk Services that Mykhailo provides in his role as Digital Risk Advisor. As you can see, password management is very important.
