Christoph and Barb graciously opened their home for a fun filled family BBQ on Saturday, June 15. A great opportunity for adults and children to come together; however, things didn’t go as planned…
When our first wave of Rotarians arrived, Christoph and Barb were in their car leaving their home – the location of the family BBQ. With a push of a button and a slightly higher pitch in his voice Christoph said, “Barb’s water just broke, we are on our way to the hospital and my mom will host”. Sure enough, Monika, Christoph’s mother from Germany, was an amazing host to the many Rotarians and their families during the BBQ.
Barb and Christoph welcomed Nola Bryann*, 4 lbs12 oz and 6 weeks early. Mom and daughter are doing well and this lovely tale would be so much more amusing if Nola joined the world at the BBQ – meh, c’est la vie!

PS: Any alcohol left in the liquor cabinet Christoph?
