Wow, Club members were very fortunate to have Rona Fraser, the CEO of the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts, join us and share with us the successes of this unique art centre. Started in 2003, the Nina gives up to 250 adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to work as artists in many mediums (paint, clay, fabrics, print, etc). This has created an explosion of creativity. Artists from the Nina have had their artwork on prominent display in many buildings in Edmonton, in galleries as well as provincially, nationally and internationally. They offer free family art nights and their gallery is always open to the public. What an accomplishment. Congratulations!
