The Rotary Foundation has spent more than US$4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects around the world. 1) District grants fund small-scale, short-term activities. 2) Global grants fund large, sustainable, international activities.
February is all about conflict prevention. Rotary is committed to pursuing projects that address the structural causes of conflict, including poverty, inequality, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources.
Consider the following actions to sustain peacebuilding:
Invite presentations from the district peace building committee.
Invite a Peace Fellow to speak.
Identify a high school without an Interact club and support the development of a club.
