Specifically designed for educators, HACC organizers and DOE educators have curated informational resources that will provide an overview of the HACC (a month-long annual competition) and resources to prepare a student team or for the classroom. This 5-week email informational series will highlight resources and ideas to help you to provide a real-world computer science (CS) and civic engagement learning opportunity for middle or high school students. Participants will receive weekly emails introducing them to videos and past competition resources that can be used to create their own CS learning projects. The series will culminate with a live, virtual Q&A session to address any event or resource questions and share competition experiences.

  • The training series will kick-off on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. with an online overview session.*
  • There will be an email series of self-paced videos over the next 4 weeks. (August 4, 2021 - September 8, 2021)
  • The session will culminate with an online Q&A session on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 - 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.*
*Note: The two online sessions will be recorded in the event you are not able to attend.
