Join us for a sip and learn happy hour and find out more about this awesome organization in our region, STEM Coding Labs.  "STEM Coding Lab is the only Pittsburgh nonprofit devoted exclusively to bringing computer science education into under-resourced schools and communities throughout our region. In providing expert instruction for both in-school and afterschool settings, the work of STEM Coding Lab is designed to activate the next generation of digitally literate STEM professionals and expose those students learning in underfunded environments to lessons that will prepare them to compete in the 21st Century. Since its founding, STEM Coding Lab’s programming has yet to be paused or cancelled by any partner – every year, we are invited back because our instruction is fun, interactive, and inspiring, a quality too infrequently seen in the world of computer science. STEM Coding Lab works with the Pittsburgh Public School District, as well as a variety of charter schools and afterschool programs, to provide both in-school and after-school CS classes. Our goal for in-school classes is to assist teachers to integrate coding into their everyday classes - regardless of their subject area expertise."
