PLU 10th Annual Middle and High School Programming Contest 

February 2020 Contest Results 

The Tenth Annual Pacific Lutheran University Middle and High School Programming Contest was held Saturday, February 1st, at the Morken Center for Learning and Technology. 

Forty-two teams registered for the contest with 94 students from 29 schools competing for awards and prizes. More information about the contest (e.g., scoreboard, pictures, and problems) can be found at https://www.plu.edu/computer-science/hs-prog-contest/ 

Congratulations to the following teams: 

Advanced Category: 

1st Place – Redmond High School – Team: Purr-mutations 
   (11 problems in 584 minutes) 

2nd Place - Tesla STEM Highschool– Team: void 
   (11 problems 586 in minutes) 

3rd Place – Liberty High School – Team: !dlroW ,olleH 
   (10 problems in 499 minutes) 

Novice Category: 

1st Place – Interlake High School – Team: ProCoderz 
   (8 problems in 963 minutes) 

2nd Place – Skyline High School – Team: ka 
   (7 problems in 710 minutes) 

3rd Place – STEP Computer Academy – Team: ppHeads 
   (6 problems in 475 minutes) 

All the winning teams received engraved medals and the top team in the advanced category won a perpetual trophy that is engraved with their names and the name of their high school. The winning team will retain the trophy until September to be displayed at their high school. 

This year the top represented school for the second year in a row was Skyline High School with 8 teams. Many thanks to all the schools, students, and coaches for their participation.

The PLU High School Programming contest takes place the first or second Saturday in February at the Morken Center for Learning and Technology.
