Our next meeting will be Thursday, October 8, 2020, 4:30-6pm (we’ll aim to end at 5:30), on Zoom. We will hear a short presentation from Bryan "BT" Twarek, Director of Education for CSTA, about the new Standards for CS Teachers, which are designed to provide clear guidance around effective and equitable CS instruction in support of rigorous CS education for all K-12 students.
Following the presentation we will split into two groups for some hands on skills development:
- Emily Thomforde will lead a mini-workshop in blocks programming for K-5 teachers who are new to teaching or integrating computer science in their classrooms.
- Ann Greyson will lead a mini-workshop in graphics and animation programming using p5.js and Processing for 6-12 teachers who have prior programming experience.
