Interested in becoming a CSTA NYC officer for 2022-23? We're hosting an info session to tell you more about the benefits and responsibilities of becoming a chapter leader.

The Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) NYC Chapter builds community among computer science teachers who are often isolated in their schools, provides professional development to help teachers improve their craft, and connects local teacher voices to the national CS education community.

CSTA NYC is looking for new officers beginning June 2022 for a one year term to continue growing and supporting our community. As one of the largest CSTA chapters in the country, we are a well established organization that impacts hundreds of computer science teachers annually.

CSTA NYC officers receive many benefits, including:

  • Leadership development through officer workshops during summer training and during the year

  • Connections to a network of computer science education organizations and funders across NYC

  • Two officers will receive tickets with all travel and accommodations paid for the 2022 CSTA Conference

  • Experience delivering training and leading a large membership organization with a wide reach

  • It’s fun to help out your CSTA community!

You can read more about CSTA officer roles and expectations here.

Please help to spread the word about this opportunity!

We encourage applicants to attend, even if you are not currently a CSTA member, and even if you don't currently teach CS.  We encourage applicants from the nonprofit and outside of school time / after school education community, as well.
