CSPdWeek provides schools with the opportunity to build their own pathways for students to learn Computer Science (CS) across grades 9-12. A collection of workshops during the week of July 10 - 14, 2023 will help high schools satisfy the new legislation that requires an endorsed CS course in each school.

CSPdWeek will take place July 10 - 14, 2023 at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Professional Learning is available for:
- Bootstrap Algebra
- Exploring Computer Science*
- AP Computer Science Principles  (For summer 2023, this is only available for PACS research schools.)
- Counselors for Computing (This is only a two-day training, July 11-12.)

Participants will receive a stipend, training resources, and any travel and lodging that is needed. Participants must commit to: (1) participating in all hours of training (including academic-year follow up), (2) implementing at their school (i.e., teachers offer courses; counselors provide students with CS pathway opportunities), (3) participating in an online community of practice, and (4) participating in project evaluation.

You can find more specific details about the training, including the benefits (teacher stipends, travel, meals/lodging) and expectations on the PACS website: https://www.cs4alabama.org/cspdweek

*Note: There is a second week of ECS training available, June 26 -30 from ECS4Alabama, if this is your only option, please visit https://www.cs4alabama.org/summer-2023-cs-training to register for that training instead.

Deadline to apply: June 15, 2023
