UTD Fall Programming Contest

We invite you and your HS programming teams (MAX 3 students per team) to attend this programming contest at UT Dallas! Similar to recent contests, this one is sponsored by State Farm as well. State Farm's generous support covers the trophies, medals and lunch for the attendees.

Custodial Responsibility Disclaimer: All contestants should come with their teacher or a responsible adult - that adult is responsible for taking care of all the contestants. While CS dept of UT Dallas is conducting the contest, UT Dallas is not taking custody of the minors. By continuing to register your teams, you agree to this disclaimer.

Teams may bring notes and textbooks, but they must not plug anything into our computers (USB drives, keyboards, etc.)

Hackerrank Scoring System:
A. Teams will be ranked according to the number of problems that they solve.
B. In the event of a tie, the teams within the tied group will be ranked according to their Penalty Points, fewest comes highest.

The following software, plus a full complement of Windows-7 software, will be available on the lab machines.

Teams may download JCreator if they need it.

We will use Hackerrank for semi-automatic judging. There are typically 8-12 problems for each level to solve. Contestants may use Java 8.45, minGW C++, minGW C or Microsoft C/C++ or Python.

All participants need to get the talent release form signed by the parents/guardians & the forms should be turned in during check-in for the contest: https://www.utdallas.edu/communications/docs/talent_release.pdf (Witness signature not needed)
