Lockheed Martin invites you to apply to Code Quest® Academy, a free computer coding and career exposure program for high school students. Through the mentorship of Lockheed Martin professionals, your students will gain coding skills using past Code Quest competition problems. They'll also have the opportunity to learn firsthand, from our technology professionals, what it's like to pursue an education and career in information technology.

Code Quest Academy Overview
Computer programming comes to life as students engage with Lockheed Martin technology professionals who share how they solve real-world problems everyday using the skills taught in the Code Quest Academy, which includes:
  • Virtual coding practice sessions with Lockheed Martin technology professionals: During four to six, one-hour virtual sessions between January and April 2022, our mentors will help your students with problems ranging in difficulty using Lockheed Martin web-hosted software.
  • Supplemental curriculum for teachers: Students and teachers do not need prior experience in programming to participate, just a passion for learning to code. Access to background information and insight into the Code Quest Academy problems allows teachers to formulate lesson plans centered around the problems or use them as stand-alone supplemental content.
Opportunities
  • Code Quest Competition, April 30, 2022: Students can put their skills to use during a fun, 2.5-hour, international Code Quest virtual competition. Students can compete in both novice and advanced categories. Teachers with classrooms who participate in Code Quest Academy will have priority registration for the Code Quest Competition.
  • CyberQuest Competition, April 02, 2022: Students, in select regions, may be able participate in our exciting, international, capture the flag challenge CyberQuest virtual competition. Teachers with classrooms who participate in Code Quest Academy will have priority registration for the CyberQuest Competition.
  • High School Student Internships: Students who participate in either competition will have the opportunity to apply to potential internship and apprenticeship opportunities with Lockheed Martin. Students are also invited to join Tallo, an online platform that allows students ages 13+ to showcase their skills and experiences to colleges and employers.
