Art and Coding, a presentation from Tim Clarke on his experiences with a course blending art and programming
Short Bio:
Timothy Clarke has been teaching physics, computer programming, and robotics for 28 years.  For the last seven years he has been teaching at the William Penn Charter School.   Tim double majored in engineering and computer science in college and is always looking for new ways to pull students into both fields of study.  A summer Art and Coding class  was added recently at Penn Charter using Processing to create generative art.
Description:
For this session Tim will present examples of student work and code used to generate many different styles of art.  He will then walk through a couple of examples using Processing to create specific art.  A set of GoogleSlides with examples of student artwork along with Processing code will be provided to people who attend the talk along with  a couple of ready to run zipped folders with example code.  People attending the talk are encouraged to download the Processing language ahead of time to be able to run code examples.
