We are very excited to announce OMAC's 2024 John A. Kowal Memorial Scholarship winners: Molly Coonfield and Ryan Monroe! This scholarship was established in memory of OMAC's founding member, John A. Kowal, to honor his 20+ years of contributions and support careers in automation.

Molly Coonfield currently attends Montana State University where she is studying Electrical Engineering. Molly completed an internship with McDougall and Sons, Inc before her college career and has held positions as vice president of the MSU Swim Club, assistant director of scholarship for Chi Omega, and managed the Rhapsody A Capella social media accounts while in school. After graduation, she hopes to use her degree in the agricultural field, focusing on innovation and automation within the fruit industry.
Ryan Monroeis studying Electrical Engineeringat UNC Charlotte. Early in his academia, Ryan discovered an interest for STEM courses and knew he wanted to pursue a career in engineering. His passion for engineering brought him to an internship with GroningerUSA as an Automation Engineer where he is still currently working. He loves the work he does and hopes his leadership skills and knowledge will lead him to even more opportunities in the future.
