With Hour of Code being right around the corner, let’s take an hour to talk code! Hear from K-6 Literacy Teacher from Antigonish Education Center, Maureen Armour, on how she uses Hour of Code as an event to incorporate coding throughout different subjects.
Unruly Studios is Unruly Splats, the first STEM learning tool that combines coding with active play. Students build their own games with programmable floor buttons to code to light up, make sounds, and collect points when stomped on. Some of our favorite student-created games are relay races, dance competitions, and obstacle courses. CSTA+ members will receive a 10% discount on an Unruly Membership. Any member who agrees to guest host a webinar or blog with us will receive 15% off.

In this session, you will learn:
1. How to use Unruly Splats to combine active play and block-based coding  — we will play a game live too!
2. How to play Unruly Quest — 5 activities designed for an hour of coding!
3. Specific examples of how to incorporate computer science concepts into other core and special subjects.
