CSTA Engage - January 2022 - New Year, New Language!

Please join us for our CSTA Engage Meetup on Thursday, January 20, 2021, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. CT to connect with and learn alongside other K-12 CS teachers. We’ll host a jam-packed hour and a half, worth every minute of your midweek evening. Activities will include a time specifically for networking, a featured PD activity, and unconference/birds-of-a-feather sessions.

 

Hosted by CSTA Sacramento & CSTA California Far North 

  • CSTA Sacramento and CSTA California Far North Chapters are hosting this month, and they have an awesome Membership Meeting to share with us! 

  • On Thursday, January 20th from 4:00 to 5:30 pm PT, we invite you to connect with other K-12 and postsecondary educators at CSTA Engage, hosted by CSTA Sacramento and CSTA California Far North. Take a moment to register here for the Zoom link. 

  • This month, we will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of programming languages that are used in industry - and can be used in our classrooms!  Tune in for a “Nifty Lesson” about Java, P5.JS, Python, and Blockly.  Additionally, we will have the opportunity to hear from the CSEdResearch.org team in the monthly “Partner Presentation” segment of the meeting. 

  • Of course, the meeting will also include lots of time to collaborate with fellow K-12 and postsecondary educators (Speed Networking, Resource Sharing, Member Shout Outs! and the Infamous “Appy-Hour”).  Lastly, you won’t want to miss the monthly raffle that includes three fantabulous prizes.  Check out the agenda for all of the details!
