The theme for the 2020 seminar will focus on public perception and steps that water systems can take to address public concerns about emerging drinking water quality issues.  Seminar topics will highlight areas of growing public concern about water quality, including:

  • Source water contaminants including PFAS, cyanotoxins, pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs),
  • Premise plumbing issues including lead and copper corrosion, Legionella, and other opportunistic pathogens, and
  • Drinking water aesthetic issues associated with manganese and taste and odor.
The seminar will feature presentations by nationally recognized speakers on topics with local relevance, as well as a regulatory update on these key topics.  Get to know the speakers by reading their bios located in the Seminar Preview
