CSPDWeek Applications are now LIVE!
Indiana is proud to announce we are now accepting applications for Indiana CSPDWeek brought to you by the national Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), the Indiana CSTA Chapter, Nextech, and the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). 

 

 
CSPDWeek 2024 will take place June 10 - 14, 2024.
 

Steps to apply (and anticipated timeline):

Step 1: Complete the initial application. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and you will receive a provisional acceptance. 
Step 2: In January 2024, we will send the second part of the application your way. It will include a spot for you to tell us more about your teaching plans for the next school year, rank your workshop choices, and upload your principal support form. Step 3: In Spring 2024, we will ask you to enter your choices for hotel accommodations and any other information needed for the in-person event. 
Initial applications are reviewed on a three week rolling basis. You will receive your acceptance from in.cspdweek@gmail.com (add us to your safe senders!) We will send the second part of your application your way in January. 
Who is Invited: All Indiana K-12 educators teaching computer science content during the 2023-2024 school year. 
 
Dates: Monday, June 10 - June 14, 2024, with hotel check-in on Sunday, June 9, 2024
 

This event is FREE for Indiana K-12 public school teachers and includes

  • In-person professional development from June 10 - June 14, 2024. Workshop selection will come out in January 2024.
  • Networking events and supplemental workshops during CSPDWeek 
  • Hotel accommodations for teachers living more than 50 miles from the event location are automatically included. Hotel accommodations for teachers living less than 50 miles from the event location will be considered based on need and availability and granted on a first come, first serve basis. 
  • Breakfast and lunch (Monday - Friday)
  • Stipends for eligible participants (see details below) 
  • Completion certificate and (at least) 30 hours of PGP points for the week
  • Participation in follow-up PD and PLC activities throughout the school year.

 

Stipend: Indiana K-12 public and public charter school teachers are eligible to receive a stipend for their participation in CSPDWeek and follow up professional learning throughout the year. The stipend will be awarded in two payments: 

  1. The first stipend of $1080 for completion of all pre-work and complete attendance at CSPDWeek 2024, to be paid by the end of October 2024. 
  2. The second stipend of $480 for participation in (at least) 16 hours of ongoing virtual PLC and PD meetings throughout the 2024-2025 school year, to be paid by the end of June 2025.  

 

In order to be eligible for CSPDWeek, teachers must meet the following requirements:

  • Teach in an Indiana K-12 public school for the 2024-2025 school year
  • Complete all required pre-work and actively participate throughout all professional learning at CSPDWeek 2024
  • Implement the content covered during CSPDWeek 2023 in their classrooms during the 2024-2025
