$10,000 grants are available from Lockheed Martin and Project Lead the Way to fund PLTW Cybersecurity Courses.

Cybersecurity workers protect our most important and private information, from bank accounts to health records and infrastructure. However, there is a dangerous shortage of cybersecurity workers in the United States that puts our digital privacy and infrastructure at risk. For every cybersecurity worker, there are eight job openings in the field right now. In Minnesota, we currently have  8,618 unfilled openings and a projection of further shortages.

Lockheed Martin in partnership with Project Lead The Way has opened a $10,000 grant for high school PLTW Computer Science, to implement the PLTW Cybersecurity course for public schools nationwide.

Grant Total Award: $ 10,000

2021-2022: $10,000

Allowable Expenses: PLTW Participation Fee; Professional Development PLTW Core Training and related expenses; Required computers and/or tablets; Program required equipment and supplies
