Updates from CSTA 2020 Virtual Conference including the CSTA Iowa Social Hours and Collaborative Resource Document
We're calling the first ever virtual CSTA Conference a success! For those able to attend, we'd love to hear your conference highlights in the comments below. The amount of content and resources shared was amazing!
A HUGE shoutout and thank you to the CSTA Iowa members who attended the social hours hosted during the CSTA 2020 Virtual Conference! We had almost 30 people join Monday night, and about 15 each Tuesday morning and Tuesday night!!!!
Another HUGE shoutout and thank you to the CSTA Iowa members who contributed to our first ever CSTA Conference Collaborative Resource Document! Over 30 CSTA Iowa members added resources from the conference to share with other CS Educators in Iowa. You'll find CSTA Iowa member contact information & links to session slidedecks, toolkits, and more organized by a variety of topics including:
- hot fire! (really exciting sessions!)
- equity,
- topics for specific grade bands (Prek-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12),
- adult learners (IHE & PD)
- engagement and social-emotional learning,
- CS + content (ie. CS + Math, Literacy, etc.), and
- odds & ends.
This is a wonderful and robust resource to share with other CS educators looking for inspiration and strategies to teach CS!
