Two day conference for educators, paraprofessionals, volunteers, and afterschool professionals who want to better integrate technology education in the classroom. For educators of youth of all ages, kindergarten to high school.
 
Hands-on conference for teachers of all grade levels.
Classes will focus on introducing you to technology that can be used in the classroom, and giving you a chance to try it out.
 
Subjects covered:
  • No-stress integration of coding into other subjects such as history or language arts.
  • Hands on opportunities to try different educational tools, including robotics equipment, 3-D printing, and free programming resources.
  • Teaching computational thinking without a computer.
  • Resources for equipment and support

More topics to be covered: Computational thinking, USBE K-12 computer science framework, algorithms and programming, hands-on experience with coding tools such as sphero, microbits, programmable drones, scratch, 3D printing, "Unplugged" programming, dash robots, using code.org in the classroom, and learning coding through circuit design.
