The VA AWWA Nominations Committee is currently seeking nominations for members interested in serving on the Board of Trustees. We invite you to nominate yourself or a colleague that would be well suited for the following positions:
  • Council Trustee (2 positions available)
  • Secretary (1 position available)

A Council Trustee is responsible for partnering with a council of committees for the purpose of motivating, guiding, and representing the council at VA AWWA Board meetings.  A Council Trustee serves for a period of two years.  
 
The Secretary attends all meetings for the Virginia Section Board of Trustees and duly records the proceedings thereof. The Secretary shall carry on such correspondence as may be necessary to conduct the business of the Virginia Section. The Secretary serves for a period of three years.

VA AWWA Board of Trustee meetings occurs 4-6 times a year throughout the state.  Additionally, each board member may be asked to attend regional and national level meetings to represent the Virginia Section.  Candidates must be members of VA AWWA in good standing. Each board member brings great ideas, helps to shape the future of the organization, and shares a willingness to serve the Virginia Section.
